My journey into the world of personal training began in 2008 when I attended the National Personal Training Institute, earning my first certification. Since then, I’ve obtained a BA in Exercise Physiology and Health Promotion from Otterbein University and pursued additional certifications through USA Weightlifting and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Initially, I trained clients at a large fitness facility. However, I soon realized that the big gym environment wasn’t ideal for everyone. Listening to my clients’ feedback, I decided to start my own business in 2012, focusing on personalized training sessions in clients’ homes and small studios.
In 2014, my wife and I founded Willow Health and Performance, combining our expertise to offer a comprehensive range of health and fitness services. From 2014 to 2018, I served as an adjunct professor at Otterbein University, teaching Strength and Conditioning and Olympic Style Weightlifting. This academic experience allowed me to deepen my knowledge and stay updated with the latest developments in exercise science.
Beyond my professional life, I am an avid fitness enthusiast. I enjoy working out, hiking, kayaking, and training and competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu. My dedication to both personal and professional growth ensures that I provide my clients with the best possible training experience.

I have a passion for helping people sift through the plethora for nutrition information to find what is relevant and effective for them. Nutrition can help you gain confidence in yourself to be able to pursue the things you want to achieve in life and feel good doing it but it should not be an added stressor to our already busy lives. I will help you learn how to reach your goals without feeling like you are in a constant battle with food.
It has been my pleasure to work with clients of all types including women throughout their pregnancy journey, those with eating disorders, athletes, those struggling with weight management, and those working through a medical condition. I enjoy working with anyone interested in bettering their health and willing to put in hard work for long term success.
In addition to my role as dietitian with Willow Health and Performance I also personal train clients virtually in the comfort of their own home. I have a passion for fitness and take every advantage I can to get outside. I enjoy hiking, traveling, and gardening in my free time.
